Richard Wilson is a maker of hand made bows from the finest quality materials, to suit the individual. Providing a high-quality bow repairing and rehairing service taking in work from across the globe.
He was trained in the Hill tradition of bow making, serving a full apprenticeship with Garner Wilson and has developed his own style to include a wide range of influences.
He produces baroque and classical, as well as modern, bows. Before becoming a bow maker he was a professional viola player and teacher, and is therefore sensitive to the needs of players.
In addition to making new bows the repair, re-hair and restoration of old bows is undertaken. A same day service is often available, by arrangement, depending on the degree of work to be done. Please enquire for further information.
